Deena Ganwer

Deena was born and raised in Kishanpuri, Chhattisgarh. It was after starting work with Video Volunteers that Deena first became interested in photography: "I wanted to take photographs of my people with the hope that through these photographs changes would occur in society."

Deena's work documents issues linked to water shortages in the village of Lipdi, Chhattisgarh. Water in the area is contaminated and there are no hand pumps. As a result disease has spread leading to the death of humans and animals.
